Construction
Planner Transport Equipment (Rack
and Power) Project Management
§
Research and
review plans for necessary material needed for proposed and requested work
needed for special construction request
§
Performs
field engineering of proposed projects and ensures alternative routing
delivers most cost effective design for construction.
§
Ability to
conduct field verify serviceability, survey proposed service routing, and
estimate material. As well as utilizing BID process
§
Coordinates
all customer implementation activities including site walk-throughs, node
placements and subcontract labor
§
Coordinates
contractor work, coordinate and/or obtains permits, access, or ROW
agreements where applicable, distributes design prints and other necessary
working documents. Negotiates and approves design or construction changes.
§ Coordinates with public works personnel, developers,
commercial customers, building owners, and utilities on joint trench
projects.
§ Maintains workflow databases and updates schedules.
Participates in managing and estimating cost forecasts, material planning,
and capital and expense budgets.
§ Ability to work around highly sensitive
machines and networking equipment without causing downtime or outages
§ Ability to lift equipment weighing 50lbs
as well as the ability to effectively schedule work at multiple locations
§ Advanced experience with Google Maps /
Earth, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel
§ Knowledge of OSHP permit requirements,
ability to understand city, building code permits and regulations.
§ Experience with technician type work,
such as rack and stacking of devices, cabling and power (AC and DC),
inventory
§ Responsible for end-to-end projects and associated work
spanning organizations outside of Outside Plant Construction for projects
of varying technical complexity which includes small scale projects lasting
up to 10 days to large scale projects lasting 1-3 years.
§ May lead training and sharing of knowledge with teams to
enable them to develop consistency and improvements to processes and tools
§ Tracks and maintains project issues and responsible for
resolution of those issues limiting impact to the overall success of the
project, escalates issues when required, and acts as a catalyst for
resolving issues that include but are not limited to project delays and
interpersonal project team conflicts
§
As projects
are completed, perform tasks to close tasks in database/tool, reconcile
assets, and
generate reports to ensure proper closure of project.
§
Able to read
and interpret civil engineering drawings and DOT as well as all applicable
rules and
regulations.
§
Ability to
function as a company representative with other utility and state/local
entities.
§
Write
specific engineering/construction work orders to satisfy GO95 regulations
as well company policy
